SARGODHA – Additional Session Judge Farah Naz on Wednesday awarded death sentence to two brothers convicted in a dual murder case of Shahpur police station.
According to prosecution, in June 2013, three brothers including Nasir Abbas, Qamer Abbas and Arshed Abbas along with their father Khizar Hayat, residents of village Lokarry Attar, murdered two opponents Waqar Zafar and Muhammad Yar over property dispute.
Local police had registered case against the accused and presented challan in the court. After hearing arguments the court awarded death sentences on the count of 2 to the two convicts – NasirAbbas and Qamar Abbas along with fine of Rs 400,000.
The court declared co-accused brother Arshed Abbas as proclaimed offender, but acquitted their father Khizar Hayat on the benefit of doubt.
