THARPARKAR: A three-day polio campaign began across the district Tharparkar to administer vaccine to more than 0.2 million children, said Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Zaman Narejo. As many as 835 teams have been formed to administer the vaccine to children up to age of five years at their doorstep, while all the concerned officials were directed to perform their duties honestly and devotedly. The deputy commissioner also warned of taking stern action against the negligent officials and urged parents and guardians of children to cooperate with the vaccination teams. He said the campaign would be monitored by concerned officers, education department, health department officials, and deputy commissioner.
