QUETTA: The accountability court has remanded an accused in suspended finance secretary case to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for 14 days, said a spokesman.
The NAB spokesman said that the accused, Sohail Majeed who was working as front man of suspended finance secretary Balochistan, Mushtaq Ahmed Raisani was arrested by the NAB and he was presented before the Accountability Court.
“The judge of the accountability court has remanded the accused, Sohail Majeed in the custody of the NAB Balochistan for 14 days,” he said. He said that the accused, Raisani was arrested in massive corruption case and the NAB team recovered cash, jewelry and prize bonds from his house over worth Rs 700 million. He said that the further investigation into Mushtaq Ahmed Raisani case was underway.

On the other hand, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has reportedly taken three officials into custody for their alleged involvement in illegal verification of documents pertaining to NADRA.
Officials said that FIA took three officials into custody including Assistant Commissioner Chaman, Hafiz Muhammad Qasim, Assistant Commissioner Qila Abdullah, Aijaz Jaffar and retired deputy commissioner Revenue, Hasratullah Changezi into a case pertaining to illegal verification related to NADRA.
The FIA officials said that the three officers were made members of verification committee of NADRA. “The FIA received complaints about alleged involvement of these three officials of illegal verification of documents pertaining to NADRA,” they said. They further said that the arrested officials had been shifted to Quetta for interrogation.
