KARACHI: A mugging incident took place in the city on Thursday morning, in which two brothers were shot by armed assailants. One brother died while the other was wounded in the incident.
According to the police, the two brothers named Babar and Shahid were traveling on a motorcycle near Karachi’s Korangi Vita roundabout when two armed assailants appeared out of nowhere and attempted to rob them. Police further disclosed that both brothers were labourers who were returning home after their duty when the alleged robbers appeared out of nowhere.
Police revealed that suspects shot the two brothers since they had tried to speed away from the alleged robbers. Due to the firing, Babar died while Shahid was wounded. Babar and Shahid are both residents of Korangi Sector 32-A.
So far, the robbers have not been apprehended for killing one brother and injuring the other.
